The Hiring approval team is responsible for approving a Candidate before the candidate can be moved into a Hired status. The candidate will NOT move to a hired status until approved by all members of the hiring team. Creating these teams is optional.
*NOTE: The Hiring Approval Team is not the same as the Hiring team. See article Hiring Team
If you are a member of an approval team, email notifications will be sent to approvers in sequential order starting with the first approver. In the case of a job approval team, this means that the first approver will receive an email notification when a user attempts to post a job. The second approver will receive an email notification after the first approver clicks the job approval button.
Click on the Team tab then click, Hiring Approval Team.
To create a team, click Create an Approval Team.
*NOTE: Admin level permissions are required to be part of the Hiring Approval Team in applicant tracking tool.
Give your team a name in the name field.
In the dropdown select the first approver.
Click Add Another if you intend to add a second approver.
Here you can choose members of your account to act as hiring approvers for any Candidate that’s in your Talent Pool. First, you'll need to give your team a name and second, then choose which users of your account you want on it. Please note the order of the team members you add. You can have as many as you like - but the approval order will be sequential based on how many people you include on that team. Also - if a team is attached to a job, you won't be able to move that candidate to a Hired state until everyone on your team agrees to hire that candidate.

When the approval team has been added to the job post, and the desired applicant is moved to a Hired step in the workflow, this will trigger an approval request to the first member of the Hiring approval team.
A confirmation message will display. Click Continue.
The message ' Please note this person is currently awaiting approval to Hire. Once the approval team makes a decision, this candidate's profile will be updated.
An email will deploy to the first member of the approval team notifying them to login and approve the candidate for hire. The member will find a Task waiting for approval on the Home page under your outstanding tasks.
Click on the applicant's name.
Click Approve or Reject. NOTE: If you intend to remove the approval team from the Job, it must be rejected first.
Confirm Approval
If there is another member of the approval team who will need to review this candidate, the approval will route to the next approver.
The next approver will repeat all steps above. Once that final approver approves the candidate, the workflow will place the candidate in the Hired status automatically.
