TripIt - TripIt is an online service that aggregates your travel itineraries. By adding your TripIt credentials, TriNet Expense will create markers between your active expenses showing when you left for a trip and when you arrived back (currently by airline, rental car, and hotel only). If we can match your credit card expense with the airline itinerary, we will pre-fill the To/From fields with the appropriate airport codes.
TriNet Expense can create an expense report each time you arrive back from your trip. Add a recurring report in the Create Report section that is run by Trip. We provided a TripIt recurring report for you to add in the bottom left side of the Create Report. Reports are created two days following your return (so we can make sure all your expenses are captured on your credit card). See how to create a recurring TripIt Expense report here.
Key Features when adding your TripIt Account:
- Start and end date markers from each trip are overlaid with the user's business transactions.
- Recurring Report for TripIt automatically creates a user's expense report once the trip end date occurs. Additional rules can be set up to include or exclude categories or certain types of transactions.
- Airline tickets purchased out of the TripIt data range are included in the expense reports.
- Airport codes are automatically entered in the To/From fields within TriNet Expense when matched with the transaction.
You can get started using TriNet Expense and TripIt by setting it up in Settings > Add-Ons.
If you have Tripit markers that you do not want to display, select the delete button (Shown as an X) on each row. Removing your TripIt account will remove all TripIt Markers.
