Your Directory is the heart and soul of the Performance Management tool, it defines the reporting structure and decides how to distribute reviews. Your directory is an Admin only function and located in the Admin panel.
Enter profiles Individually
There are two ways to enter profiles, either add each employee individually or import a CSV file of all the users in one batch.
To import users individually, click on "Add User".
Enter the user's information within the appropriate fields.
Import multiple users in a Batch Upload
To import a CSV file, click on Import Users.
Download a CSV template by clicking on "Download CSV template".
Once you download the CSV template, open the CSV template file and add the required information in the corresponding columns.
The fields are similar to the form fields when you add individual users minus the ability to add a photo. A few rules include:
- Every field except for Emp ID is required.
- Each Department needs to be pre-populated in Performance Management (see above on how to add a department)
- Every employee requires a Manager Email. Without it you will receive an error.
If you are adding this spreadsheet and you are the CEO, you should have no problems following the rules above as all the managers will be accounted for.
However if you are an Administrator and NOT the Top of the Hierarchy / top of the Org Chart, you will notice that the CEO will not have a manager email beside it in the spreadsheet. This will cause an error during the upload Instead you will need to add your own email as the manager, for now. Once the upload is complete you can activate the CEO and swap the company owner role with them.
Save over this file then click on the Upload .CSV file to upload.
If there are any issues you'll get a descriptive error message identifying the line and type of problem with the entry.
Once those employees are added to the system, they display as "Inactive" underneath the "Status". You may select which individuals you want to activate, one at a time, by clicking on "Activate".
Once activated, the user will receive a welcome email that will share instructions on they can set up their password, log in for the first time, and get started in the Performance Management tool.
