What will happen in January 2016?
All users are required to have a premium subscription to access their account. The company owner on the account will need to purchase the premium subscription. If you have not created a company yet in TriNet Expense, then you will have access to upgrade as well.
If I choose to upgrade, what additional features do I receive?
Premium users will have the ability to integrate more than one credit/banking card, enforce expense policy violations, and apply accounting data from QuickBooks, Intacct or Netsuite. You can learn more about the additional features of our premium subscription here.
What subscription plans are offered?
We will maintain our monthly and annual subscriptions. Pricing can be found on this page. The subscription plan applied will be automated and based on the total amount of users. Activity users are not counted towards the subscription plan as activity users are charged per report, and not monthly or annually.
Activity based usage will also be available for all premium accounts. The company owner, or admin can determine if a user is a subscription, or activity user type. Changing a user from subscription to activity will have an effect on payment. Learn more about our activity based usage here.
Time will still remain an additional add-on feature for $2 per user/month. Time permissions can be enabled for subscription users only. Time will need to be enabled for the user on the User Settings page.
What if I don’t choose to upgrade?
Any user that has not upgraded to a premium subscription will not have access to their account. We encourage you to upgrade your account to avoid any performance issues within your organization. All data will remain in TriNet Expense and will become available if you choose to upgrade your account.
How do I export my data?
Free users can export their data as a .CSV file. The details instructions are shown here.
How does this affect my current paid subscription?
Existing paid companies will remain on the same subscription plan. This includes our current Expense and Time premium users.
However, we understand that some paid companies may have free users within their company. The free users will be converted to activity users. Activity users are charged when an expense report is submitted. You can learn more about our activity plan here. The company owner, or admin will have access to change users from activity to subscription if needed.
What is the difference between a subscription user and an activity user?Subscription users are charged monthly or annually while activity users are charged per expense report submitted. Subscription and activity users have the same premium features, but there are some permission differences.
Activity users cannot view expense policies that have been violated from other users. We recommend that any user considered as an approver be listed as a subscription user type. You can read more about our activity users on our activity help topic.
