To set the default mileage measurement unit to Miles or Kilometers go to Settings>Personal Settings>Expenses
Users can manually enter in the number of miles/kilometers they drove or use TriNet Expense Google Maps mileage calculator.
To do so, go to Expenses > Active and click on "Add New Expense" button.
Enter the date and merchant name. Next choose the category Mileage - you will see the currency abbreviation change to miles. Enter in the number of miles you drove and TriNet Expense will calculate the amount owned. You can change the reimbursement rate in Settings.
If you want to use Google Maps to calculate mileage, place your mouse in the field for entering miles and select the Use Maps option that will appear. Enter in the address you drove in the From and To fields, Select "Round Trip" if needed, then the Calculate Miles button. You can drag the purple line to modify the route you took. Select the Save button to enter the miles in the new expense.
User's can also save the calculated map image as a receipt to the attached Mileage expense. Select"Create Receipt" on the map image and click "Save." This will attach the image to view as a receipt for the mileage expense.
